National Recognition
McLean County won a Federal “Communities of Excellence Award”. The AOK Network was recognized for its role facilitating collaboration that allows partners to find innovative ways to solve problems, share resources, and serve more members of the community. Network partners participated in a Washington think-tank discussion on how to coordinate services and “drop the turf barriers” that all too often have agencies competing with each other rather than working together.

Hi -
Years ago, I had participated in this network and found the collaboration and meetings very useful to my work in the field of early care and education.
Can you please let me know if there are still periodic planning meetings and how my role as a preschool teacher can contribute to this network?
Thank you,

Meghan,
The AOK Early Childhood Network in McLean County is alive and thriving. We will be meeting monthly in 2012. We invite one and all who have an interest in young children to come to play, learn, and serve with us. Email me at maureen.sollars@mcleancountyil.gov to find out more.
